This healthy and unique gluten-free veggie pizza is a must try for any veggie lovers out there! It is a great way to get your vegetable fix while enjoy a pizza on a Friday night, or really any night! I have really enjoyed loading my pizzas with vegetables and fresh cheese to make me feel a little less guilty eating pizza. Add on a homemade crust and sauce and you will have no guilt trip and make you want to make it every pizza night!
Instructions to make this Gluten-Free Pizza:
- Dice onion, mushrooms, and pepper into thin and small cubes and set aside on plate (See Tip 2)
- Cut broccoli into 2 inch long pieces and steam on stove for around 5-10 minutes or right when broccoli becomes tender
- For homemade gluten free crust instruction and ingredients click here
- For homemade pizza sauce instruction and ingredients click here
- Spread sauce on pizza crust, add toppings and bake for 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted (See Tip 4)
Tips
- Broil on high for 1-2 minutes if crust is not at desired color
- You can cook the onions, peppers and mushrooms in a frying pan prior to putting as a topping on pizza if you want them softer.
- Broccoli is not a traditional topping on pizza, especially in America, and I was not one to try new things on my pizza but once I traveled to Europe and tried it, I will never go back! If you love vegetables like me and going to have it as a side anyways, just throw it on top and try it and maybe you will have a new opinion!
- You can use any cheese as a topping if you don’t have/want fresh mozzarella as your cheese option.
