Crispy Pesto chicken is a fantastic recipe that is only made up of 7 simple ingredients and can be put together quickly! All you need is chicken, pesto, mozzarella cheese, GF flour and some simple spices to create a delicious and filling recipe. Let’s make it!
How to Make Crispy Pesto Chicken
Preheat oven to 425. On a plate, place flour, salt, pepper and basil and stir
Slice chicken in half horizontally, coat with flour mixture
On a frying pan, put in oil, heat over medium high heat and place chicken, cook 5-8 mins a side or until browned and fully cooked
Add chicken to oven safe pan, place the pesto on each chicken and top with mozzarella. Place chicken in oven for ~5 minutes until the cheese is melted. Serve over noodles (See Tip 1)!
Tips
- This dinner is great with noodles, since I had extra pesto in my jar, I combined it into the noodles to create extra flavor. This is optional depending on how much extra pesto flavor you want!

1/4 cup all purpose GF flour
1 jar pesto (6oz) divided
8 slices mozzarella cheese
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
