Hi, I’m Andrea- Welcome!
Welcome to my food blog! To give a little background, I recently graduated from my master’s program and am now an Occupational Therapist working in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Throughout my college years, I developed a passion for cooking, making healthy recipes and promoting a healthy lifestyle!
During undergrad, I experienced many stomach issues like stomach pain and bloating on a daily basis. With lots of research and many doctors’ visits, I found that eliminating aged cheese from my diet made me feel better (weird right?). For a few years, I followed this change in my diet, but later came to realize I was still not feeling my best, so I went back to the drawing board to figure it out. Eventually, I found out the underlying issue was a gluten sensitivity, so I started to create recipes that were all gluten-free and I felt SO much better!
It’s been a long journey to find foods and eating habits that make me feel my best, but I am happy to be where I am, sharing healthy, tasty recipes with all of you. Let’s dig in!
My 5 Fun Facts:
1. I like to spend time with my dog Jimmer whenever possible (he is the cutest ball of fluff!)
2. I love taking photos- especially taking photos of sunsets. I’m pretty sure my camera roll contains more pictures of sunsets than food!
3. I love playing all kinds of sports- especially soccer!
4. I have been learning to speak Polish for over a year now which is a challenge!
5. I really like to travel whenever I get the chance. My biggest trip so far was to Europe (Poland, Vienna, and Prague) a few years ago.
